To ask the Minister for Health to confirm how cases at a hospital (the Portiuncula is a Grade 3 hospital and will ask for support from Galway University Hospital, a Grade 4 hospital, for more complex cancer cases, however, Portiuncula does not have a representative radiologist at the weekly Multi Disciplinary Meetings in GUH to present these cases, hence more complex cancers are not necessarily guaranteed to have their cases heard in a timely manner, can the Minister confirm how cases will be decided and whether a lottery system will be used?) will be decided; and if a lottery system will be used.

To ask the Minister for Health the rationale for a decision (historically Cancer Care West provided support to all cancer patients in Galway University Hospital, they have chosen to employ an in-house psychologist to support those being treated for cancer on the oncology wards only. It is deemed "clinically unnecessary" to provide this support service to those who will not be receiving treatment due to the advanced nature of their disease i.e. they are terminally ill, what is the rationale for this?).
